Gearhead RP is a realistic FiveM roleplay server built on GTA V (Grand Theft Auto 5). Whether you’re joining as a civilian, running businesses, building a criminal story, or stepping into public services, this guide will get you set up quickly and correctly.
You must own a legitimate PC copy of Grand Theft Auto V Legacy Edition through Steam, Epic Games, or Rockstar Launcher. FiveM uses your GTA V installation to launch roleplay servers.
FiveM is the multiplayer platform that lets you connect to custom GTA V roleplay servers like Gearhead RP. Download and install it, then launch it once so it can link to your GTA V install.
Discord is required. It’s where we post announcements, updates, support, and where you complete the whitelist step before flying into the city.
To be whitelisted for the server, head to the Discord channel: #wl-approval and post:

Once approved, you’ll have access to fly in and start roleplay.
Gearhead RP uses the Imperial CAD system for realistic roleplay records, civilian identities, vehicle registration, emergency calls, and public safety workflow. Both civilians and police/EMS/fire use CAD.

When you first land, take a few minutes to do these setup steps. They prevent performance issues, fix most voice problems, and make your first session smooth.
Press Pause → Settings → Graphics → Advanced Graphics. Set your Extended Texture Budget to FULL and make sure your graphics status bar is GREEN. This helps performance and prevents your GPU being overworked.
